Wenge Timber

Wenge is a heartwood species grown in Central Africa. The trees are about 60-90 ft tall with 3-4 ft trunk diameter. The timber wood color ranges from medium brown to reddish with black streaks. The light and dark areas of the same wood differ in density which makes it sand unevenly. Common uses include furniture making, musical instruments, veneer, turned objects, etc.
