About Niangon Wood
Niangon is a hardwood with its distribution limited to the rainforests of Sierra Leone, Liberia, the Ivory Coast and the south-west region of Ghana (Africa). It is also now present in Cameroon and Gabon.
Also known by other names such as ogoue, wishmor and nyankom, Niangon wood is moderately durable and is very difficult to treat. The Niangon lumber color is pink red or reddish brown. It has a medium texture with interlocking grain.
The wood is quite hard and has high resistance to shear and splitting. It is fairly easy to work with. Primary uses include joinery and interior construction and furniture.
As Niangon is not an easily available wood, it can only be sourced from specialist manufactures like us. We can provide you with the best quality Niangon wood logs at competitive prices with doorstep delivery.
